in September, Wake UP Sonoma had it’s first community meeting where we reviewed all of the work being done by our Community Action Teams. We also looked at what types of issues we want to bring forward to the community as community conversations. The list of topics is long, but the one at the very top of the list with the most votes was:
“Immigration Support and Allyship”
Therefore, this next meeting we are consulting with some of the local organizations who are closest to the situation and can join with us in being the most useful and become most aligned with what is most needed from the Wake UP Sonoma community to support and be effective Allies. Stay tuned for more specific information to follow in subsequent emails as we work through this planning process. In the meantime, reserve your spot and help us plan for numbers!
